Actually other Presidents and the Rich and Famous frequented Hot Springs early on for the medicinal beliefs and healng powers of the Springs and for Gambling too. To name a few, President Roosevelt, President Truman, General Douglas Mac Arthur, Babe Ruth, Al Capone and Bugsey Malone.
The water from the Springs takes
4,000 plus years to reach the surface from the center of the Earth, is 140' degrees F when it exits the ground at these 47 plus Springs.
While in Hot Springs...... fill up your jugs on the square with all the free water you can carry, tour Bath House Row, where all the original Bath houses are, go on a land and sea vehicle with "The Duck Boat Tour", visit the still existing original Bath Houses from the early 1900's, got a minute, stop in and have a old Time Massage, visit many Quaint shops, Boutiques and Restaurants amongist bath house row, have dinner at one of the early 1900's Mansion like Hotels, take a Horse Drawn Carriage ride about town, drive or stroll up to Hot Springs Mountain Tower, Yes Hot Springs is like stepping back in time over a 100 years !

Outside of Hot Springs.........visit Oaklawn Race Track, opened in 1865 one of Americas Oldest Race Tracks where Thourough Breed Racing is still are held January thru April and simulcast races the rest of the year..... go boating or fishing on one of dozens huge lakes, catch fresh water strippers 60 lbs and up......., visit and dig for real Diamonds in the Diamond Fields of " Crator of Diamonds State Park ", the only spot in North America where you can dig for diamonds and keep what you find, and yes many Diamonds are found EVERY year..,..... Want some real southern hospitality, on the way stop at some of the old southern villages like Murfreesboro, shop, have lunch or dinner or just walk round, its great!
